A winter storm is expected to arrive Friday afternoon and may last several days. Please take time now to prepare your home and family.
Protect Your Water Pipes
-
Wrap exposed outdoor pipes with insulation or towels.
-
Cover outdoor faucets with freeze covers or thick cloth.
-
Disconnect garden hoses and drain them.
-
Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate.
-
Let indoor faucets drip slowly during hard freezes.
-
Know where your main water shutoff valve is located.
Store Emergency Water
-
Fill bathtubs and containers with water for household use.
-
Have bottled drinking water on hand.

If power is lost, the water system should be powered by a backup generator. While our backup generators are reliable, equipment can occasionally fail. Please always be prepared for a possible water service interruption during severe weather.
